This privacy policy applies to the RoostScan mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Application"). The app is offered as a free offline utility without account registration, login, or external server communication.

1. Local-First and Private by Design

RoostScan is a privacy-respecting chicken identifier that works fully offline. No signup is needed, and no personal data is collected or sent.

All your scan history, image data, and preferences are stored only on your device. There is no cloud sync, and we cannot access your information.

2. What Data Is Accessed?

The application may use the following only during active usage:

• Camera or photos (to allow chicken breed identification)
• Local storage (to save history and settings)

This data is never uploaded, shared, or stored externally. It stays on your device.

3. How Is Your Data Used?

Image and scan data are processed only on-device to provide breed suggestions. No data is collected for analytics or profiling.

4. Third-Party Access

RoostScan uses a secure online API powered by a large language model (LLM) to help identify chicken breeds from your uploaded images. We do not use any third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

5. Security

All image data is transmitted securely over HTTPS and processed only in real time to generate breed predictions. We do not store your images, personal data, or results — every request is temporary and discarded immediately after processing.

6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

RoostScan offers optional premium features through in-app purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions available via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at the time of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device’s App Store or Google Play account settings.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited once a subscription is purchased.
• Refunds and billing are handled directly by Apple and Google. Please refer to their policies for details.

By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the applicable App Store or Google Play terms, including billing, renewals, and refund policies. For subscription-related questions, contact us at support@onerack.eu.

7. Data Sharing for Purchases and Refunds

If you make in-app purchases, we may share limited, non-personal consumption data with Apple or Google through our payment partner RevenueCat to assist in verifying and processing refund requests.

This may include non-identifying information such as the product you purchased, the date of purchase, whether the content was accessed, and general usage signals needed for refund decisions.

By making in-app purchases, you consent to this limited data sharing solely for the purpose of refund evaluation, in compliance with Apple and Google’s privacy and refund policies.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will appear in this section. Please check occasionally for updates.
