The Krüper is a German breed of creeper chicken. It originates in the former Duchy of Berg, now the Bergisches Land in western Germany, and is one of three chicken breeds from that area, the others being the Bergische Kräher and the Bergische Schlotterkamm. It belongs to the group of original European creeper breeds. The breed has normal-sized and bantam varieties.
The German Creeper is primarily found in the Bergisches Land region of western Germany. This breed is adapted to temperate climates and is traditionally kept in rural farm settings. They are usually raised in environments that allow for sufficient space to roam, despite their limited walking ability.

The German Creeper, or Krüper, is known for its distinctive walking style due to its reduced leg length, a characteristic feature of creeper breeds. It is a part of a historic group of European chickens with unique traits. Both standard and bantam sizes are bred.
