The Tōmaru (唐丸) is a Japanese breed of long-crowing chicken. The crow may be sustained for some 25 seconds. It is one of four Japanese long-crowing breeds, the others being the Koeyoshi, the Kurokashiwa and the Tōtenkō.

Habitat

The Tomaru is primarily found in Japan, where it is bred in controlled environments to preserve its unique crowing ability. This breed requires a calm environment to avoid stress that might affect its performance. They are usually kept in specialized breeding programs and exhibitions rather than free-ranging.
