The Vorwerk is a breed of chicken originating in Germany. Though it is unrelated to the German company which produces the Vorwerk vacuum cleaner, it is the only chicken to share its name with a brand of household appliance. A rare fowl, it has distinctive black-and-gold plumage.

Vorwerk chickens are well-suited to temperate climates, typical of northern Europe, such as those found in Germany. They can adapt to a range of environments, thriving in both rural and suburban settings. They enjoy free-ranging but can also be kept in confined spaces if necessary.
